Background

A friend once told me… ladidada da, you’re here for cheap streaming, right ? This guide will take the simplest approach, using two different services.

TorBox: A cloud debrid service that downloads and caches torrents on their servers. When you want to watch something, it streams directly from their CDN to your device. Think of it like a cloud DVR that already has most popular content ready to go instantly.
Stremio: This is the client app you will be using to watch content with. The Stremio app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. You will need to install this app on your TV and/or mobile phone.

So why TorBox?

I previously used Real-Debrid and it worked great for a while. However RD have started aggressively filtering and removing content due to EU/French legal pressure. Thus I begun to see files missing, and decided to move on to TorBox. Here’s how they compare:

I’ve purchased the Pro plan which allows 10 concurrent streams, so I can share my API key with family and friends, everyone streaming from their own house without concern.

Instructions

Very similar to the RD post I shared earlier.

1. Install Stremio

I recommend doing this on your mobile phone first. Download and install Stremio from the Google Play Store, the Apple App Store, or directly from their official website.
Sign up for the free account.

2. Get a TorBox API Key

Option A: Reach out to me to see if I’ve got room on my Pro plan with 10 slots.
Option B: Purchase your own plan at torbox.app.

Once you have an API key, copy it to your clipboard.

3. Install the Torrentio Addon with TorBox

Make sure you are signed in to your Stremio app on your mobile phone.
Visit https://torrentio.strem.fun/configure in your browser.
Under Debrid Provider, select TorBox.
Paste the API key you got in Step 2.
Click Install — it will open in Stremio automatically and configure everything.

After clicking Install, try searching for a popular movie in Stremio. If it’s cached on TorBox (most popular stuff is), it’ll start playing within seconds.

Note:

Unlike Real-Debrid, TorBox does not restrict you to a single IP address. You can watch from home, on mobile data, at your parents’ house — all at the same time.
The only limit is concurrent streams. If you’re using my key, just be mindful that others might be watching too.

Step 4: Install the Stremio App on Your TV

Search for the Stremio app on the Google Play Store and download it. If you’re using an Amazon Firestick, then that’s another story [1].
After logging into Stremio, you should see a QR code displayed on the TV. Use your mobile phone and scan it.
Follow the prompts, and the app should automatically configure the addon on your TV.
